Haven’t been updating my blog religiously again… It’s one of those times when you have things to blog but is just lazy/busy to type them out… Went to the Avid HD Launch seminar today and then took half day off. The seminar was interesting, basically introducing Avid Interface and Assist, which is a step forward into technology, no more logging shots on papers and sitting beside the editors all day/week for producers. Suppose to be good for achiving too, but the guy didn’t really touch into that…
Digressing a bit… my colleague asked me if I went IT show last weekend…
me: “no ley, didn’t go, don’t like to squeeze with people.”
colleague: “I went ley! I wanted to buy a DVD player! then ended up I bought a 42″ plasma TV!! You know what? It comes with a DVD player and a home theatre system!!”
And as if it wasn’t funny enough, he laughed very loudly after saying that..
me:”How much was the plasma TV?”
colleague:”thousand seven hundred dollars!”
me: “…………”
Ok. It wasn’t funny.
Anyways.. after the seminar we went Ikea for free coffee (2 of my colleagues have the Friends card), I then shopped for a chair for my computer desk, and ended up buying the cheap $8.95 foldable one, after much consideration. None of the small chairs there were better than the one I saw at courts yesterday. Wanted to go back to courts and buy the $79 comfy but yet not too big chair (cos my space is limited) but but but since I’m there, heck, can sit can already la, so I BOUGHT IT.
After that went to do more errands which I shall not mention, then reached home, wanted to change the modem to the old one… oh yes, I must mention this. My Wireless Modem is Spoilt! I’d never imagine modems being spoil, especially in less than a year. I really cannot accept the fact that it isn’t working. Sigh. Now I must send it in for servicing. Is this suay or what? No. Cannot be. It must be the modem.
So ended up I didn’t change the modem, (and all the other things that I planned to do) was reading a friend’s blog and the past entries since I haven’t been to her blog for months. It was so damn funny! Especially there’s one entry that she posted up her makeover photos from donkey years ago, and her comments at the photos. I was so laughing to myself! Missed her sense of humor man…
Anyways.. time to get back to doing proper stuffs.. checking out now… my mom is cooking my favourite soup tonight!! “Giam Chai Ah” or aka salty vegetable duck soup.. (don’t know translate correctly or not.. haha) Yum yum!!
