Had a bad, bad day yesterday. Nothing seems to go right for me. Want to digitize tapes got error, want to import movie files got error also, ended up have to do more things to get the footages into the system. Then to make things worse, something cock up on the other side and I got a scolding from auntie. Lost all mood to work. Lucky it’s around knock off time that shitty things happened.

Suddenly produced 3 articles after that last night. I guess I felt inspired that my IM project must move on faster. The alternative income is easy job but I hate to work with auntie. Hopefully IM can generate enough to replace THE EASY JOB N SHITTY PERSON. Too slow now, with 1 article per week, and no results showing. Gotta have more products too… My new object of interest will be After Effects Products!

So many things to do but so little time! Low morale……

Having a major mental block now… Scratching my head very hard… looking for inspirations on net… how do I edit the montage to gel with the provost interview? Surfing through the Avid website and found a lot of amazing videos, one which I like the best is The Nab 2006 Customer Showreel video. It has the most amazing Picture in Picture Effect that I’d ever seen, and I’m totally blown off after watching it!

Granted, I know it’s easy to create picture in picture effects. In fact, it is the most idiot proof effect in the whole of avid, in my opinion. But, to be creative in this effect in so many different ways is not an easy job, plus you have to animate the movements to the beat of the music. Tough, for a rookie like me, that is.

Oh! Found a way to edit my montage! Back to work~

Had a bad start to the day. Early in the morning jammmmmmmmmmmm until sian. The jam began at SLE Upper Thomson all the wayyyyyyyy to KJE slip road. This is the worse ever. Not to mention that I don’t even see the accident site when the traffic began to clear. What the fish??? What is the bloody jam all about??? By the time I reach office, it’s already 9.20am. 40mins late. My colleague is even later, at least I’m not the only one, almost felt like going home halfway through the jam. ><

I submitted one article again last weekend.. Got 1 opt-in but still no sales. I guess it can’t get any worse than that… up to 16 live articles now.. still very very far from my target… Gotta increase the productivity! Have to try to market IcontentRobot too! Where should I start from? hrmmm….

Learnt a couple of useless things today. Dapper… Yahoo Pipes… and we spent nearly an hour exploring google earth! So exciting! No need go Europe liao! Use google earth you can roam the whole world~ Just on your com~

Also learnt a few things that I already know of, like del.icio.us website, and google stuffs. Oh, and aiderss.com, a lil bit useful if you are a hardcore blog surfer. You don’t have to go through all the posts of the blog, this thing will analyze the blog for you and pick out the higher ranking/more interesting posts. Too bad I’m not one. I’ve actually posted 2 entries on this course. I think my colleague posted 3. Yes. It’s that bad.

I need to write more articles. I’m progressing real slow, with 2 articles last week and 1 this week. I think I need IcontentRobot … very much!

A note to add.. The course and instructor is perfectly fine, it’s just that it’s not for me.

On course again.. this course is called Taking Web 2.0 to the limit with RSS. I’m learning more things about Web 2.0, again. Let’s say this is the last time I’m going to take any web courses. >< No comments about this course so far…

Updates for the past few days… the verdict is in! More shoots.. more changes for the Convo Video… This time gotta finish the video by 2nd of May. Stress. Sweat.

We went to visit our new office yesterday at lunchtime, and it’s a maze! It’s still in the construction state and I’m surprised that we can even enter the premises and walk around on our own. So our boss showed us various rooms that were supposed to be our cubicles, editing suites, AV area, graphics area and etc. I got lost after awhile, so I just followed them around. I think the new office is more confusing, I don’t even know where the toilet is located at.

Digressing… this weekend will be a busy one for me.. bbq n chalet.. here I come~

It’s been a busy week for me. Mainly rushing the Convo Video edit for the convo committee meeting on the 10th, and everybody is aiming for the video to be ready by 7th, then extended to 8th… >< With other Edit projects queuing up, and still have shoots to go to, we are really under staffed with my 2 best friends away in UK. Of course not going to throw pencil, just that sometimes you work and work until you feel like throwing pencil. There’s a myth behind this “throw pencil” term, but I won’t explain it over here. =X

But I’m lucky that my weekend is not burnt! The bad thing is I had a bad flu for the whole of Sunday, Sigh.

On a happy note, the new canteen is opening soon! There will lots of new things to eat! On top of the new food court, there will be Canadian Pizza, Old Chang Kee, Subway, Sakae Sushi, and 2 new cafes. Sounds Yummy! Looking forward~
